ProForm Short Strand Reinforced Filler (SKU: PRF 11202)

Description:
ProForm Short Strand Reinforced Filler is a high-strength, fiber-reinforced body filler formulated to repair holes, cracks, tears, and rusted-out areas on various substrates. Reinforced with short fiberglass strands, it offers increased structural integrity and a waterproof finish, making it suitable for automotive and marine applications.

Key Features:

  • Short strand fiberglass reinforced – stronger than standard body fillers

  • Waterproof formula – ideal for marine or moisture-exposed repairs

  • High adhesion to:

    • Fiberglass

    • Steel and galvanized steel

    • SMC (Sheet Molded Compound)

  • Excellent featheredge – blends smoothly into surrounding surfaces

  • Fills holes, rust-outs, cracks, and tears

  • Can be used with or without fiberglass mat for additional strength

  • Cream hardener included

Applications:

  • Automotive rust repair (e.g., rocker panels, wheel arches)

  • Marine hull or deck repairs

  • SMC and fiberglass panel repairs (e.g., Corvette bodies, boat parts)

  • Filling deeper dents or gaps where extra strength is needed

General Instructions for Use:

  1. Surface Prep: Sand and clean the area (grind rust to bare metal if needed)

  2. Mixing Ratio: Mix filler with cream hardener (typically 2% by volume) until color is uniform

  3. Apply: Spread with a body filler spreader; can be applied in layers

  4. Cure Time: Typically ready to sand in 20–30 minutes at 70°F

  5. Sand & Shape: Begin sanding with 36–80 grit; finish with finer grits as needed

⚠️ Tips & Safety:

  • Do not apply over unsanded paint, plastic, or dirty surfaces

  • For best results, apply in thin layers to build strength and avoid shrinkage

  • Use PPE (gloves, respirator) and ensure adequate ventilation

  • Always refer to the TDS and SDS for specific instructions and safety data
